Do you and your students know the TYPE of Communication that are being made into media products? The TYPE of Communication focuses the purpose and structure for how the content will be packaged. Making a movie, a powerpoint or a comic is not a TYPE of communication. Being able to assess media products for content means knowing or selecting the TYPE.

Consider the following examples - each one organizes content to deliver the TYPE of communication in a unique way. PS - the majority [85%] of media products are found to be summary reports - packaging existing information NOT meaning making or figuring out beyond existing facts.
